I should give it up....

I really should give this up, I can't keep up with it anymore.  I think about it often, "oh I have to post about this" but I never seem to get around to it.  And funny shit happens in our house.  Especially since Liam came along, turned one and grew some more sass.  But I forget and then it leaves my brain -- for good, usually.  It kinda bums me out, because I want to post it all so I never forget.

Since the last post, we had Christmas in Galesburg.  It was a good time, Liam really enjoyed playing with his cousins and the new toys.  I was so happy to see my sister and her family -- coming all the way from South Carolina.  I can't even imagine that trip, driving with 4 kids.  It really makes me exhausted just thinking about it.  But they do it and everyone is so happy to see them.

Liam turned 1 in February.  I am trying to post pics from my phone, since that is what I use to take pics now, but I am at work and it's hard to download them on these crappy work computers.  (yes, I'm also working... I'm waiting on a phone call and just taking a break).  If I updated more often, it wouldn't feel like such a task....

He has surgery tomorrow.  I'm a mess about this, even though I know it will all be ok.  It's outpatient and totally not a big deal.  Of course, in true Sarah fashion, I make a habit of turning molehills into mountains.  I need to stay off google and just relax.

We started him in a music class that meets on Saturday mornings.  It's great, he seems to really love being there and checking things out.  He's not the best at sitting still and participating in the class, but he loves to shake the instruments and explore.  It's also nice because after class, we walk to the Windy City Cafe for breakfast.  I'm going to look into swim lessons for this spring/summer, too.  He enjoys his nanny, Anne, and she loves him dearly.

Work is great for both of us.  We are thinking of planning a couple of trips this summer, but those are only in the "thought process" stage.  Maybe just a weekend away for my birthday.  Possibly a trip to see Kieran's family.  Otherwise, just starting to look at homes in the suburbs (yikes! I'm clinging to the city for dear life, but the idea of a back yard is sounding more and more appealing).  We are really blessed right now.

I'm going to try to figure out this photo crap and post more pics of my 14 month old energizer bunny...
