So, the picture below was taken at dinner on New Year's Eve at Carmines. There were 11 of us at dinner and it was delicious!! I had surf & turf and the lobster was the best I ever had. After dinner, we headed to Galway Bay - it was fun, but I have had better fun there on past New Years Eves. It was probably because we got there a little later than usual and it was already crowded. Kieran's coat was accidentally taken, but subsequently returned the following afternoon, so that was good. We stayed until close and slept in the next day....then we went to Irish Oak for New Years Day lunch, got Kieran's coat, had a couple Guinness to feel better at Galway Bay (again), and then watched the Illini get KILLED in the Rose Bowl. :(

THE TRANNY!!!!.....yes, we befriended a transvestite for part of the evening. Usually all the transvestites (and sorry if there is now another politically correct term used instead of "transvestite" -- I am ignorantly unaware of one as I type this and don't mean to offend trannies, FOT, or likewise..) I've seen up here in Chicago are amazing -- like, you totally cannot tell for sure if she's a he. This one ---- not so much. The receding hairline and the ball-o-weave placed right on top like a bow kind of give it away, but we can't blame him (her) for trying!

Kieran and I......at closing time.....in major need of sleep and/or burritos....but we weren't hungry after the wonderful dinner so we came home and had some (more) wine with Jason and Ashley and went to bed around 4:30 am! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
