Some Marathon Pics (beware!)

Here are some pictures that Kieran took of the marathon. The one below of me is at around mile 10, right in front of Stanley's (the bar I work at) and CVS by our apartment. Kieran brought me Gatorade and water, mainly as a token gesture, not realizing that I would actually NEED the stuff! I guess I said, "Is that all you have??" when I saw his stash. :) He wanted to get a picture of me actually running, but it was just easier for me to stop, get the water, say "hi" and pose. I am really red, I know. But Kieran said it wasn't as bad as it has been on previous runs.
The picture below is me after the marathon, we are sitting on the sidewalk (well *I* was the only one sitting) at Roosevelt and Michigan towards the end of the route, watching all the remaining runners come in.
The picture below is from where we were sitting on Michigan and Roosevelt. Notice the fire truck spewing water out on the runners. Kieran calls this the "too little, too late" picture. He's totally right.
Sam and his girlfriend, Lauren, came and watched the end with Kieran. The picture below is Sam, Helmut and his wife, Tanya. Tanya didn't run (even though she trained all summer) due to planning a wedding, but she ended up running parts of it with Helmut and Chris. Tanya is going to run Detroit in a couple weeks and hopefully qualify for Boston. Go TANYA!
Chris, me, and Helmut....I think I had some major stomach cramps when that picture was being taken.
THE PICTURE BELOW IS GROSS, JUST TO WARN YOU!!!!
My little toe -- I got a blister (probably due to the fact that I was getting hosed down every few blocks by spectators and my socks and shoes were soaking wet - combined with the friction of running) and this is the aftermath (...it broke on it's own, I didn't play "surgeon" but I had to get the area cleaned out).... sorry! it's nasty!
