Goats & Bulls... and a wedding.

I have a few pics to upload (some other night, of course) from when we were back in Galesburg for a friend from high school's wedding this past weekend.  so much fun!  the only thing that would have made it better is if my sister had been able to come back, too.  But new baby = higher priority.  I was so happy to catch up with so many people I haven't seen in ages, it was really a nice time.

Last week, we had dinner at one of the "it" restaurants here in Chicago: Girl and the Goat (http://www.girlandthegoat.com/) ... I don't watch any food network shows, my viewing schedule is already maxed out with Gossip Girl and Castle, Snooki and Bethenny, and other primetime garbage that I LOVE.... but apparently the executive chef for this place won Top Chef (or something similar), her name is Stephanie Izard.  Let me tell you, this woman knows food.  Anyway, we went with another couple who got the reservations a couple months ago.  Seriously.  I'm so not all about those places where you have to get reservations months ahead of time and have foo-foo sounding crap on the menu.  Even before we went, I looked at the menu online and was a little apprehensive.... BUT it was amazing.  And I mean completely amazing.  Best Dinner Ever.  I went online to try to get reservations again to go with another couple -- they are booked until mid-July.  They keep back a few tables for walk-ins and you can sit at the bar, but I just wanted to see how long the wait was for a regular table....July it is.  I will wait and wait to go back to this place.  If you have plans to come to Chicago, PLEASE check this place out.  It's awesome for a group of 4-6 people, that way you can try more dishes (they are "smaller" plates, sort of like tapas but so much better).  I can't even put into words how delish this place was.  Seriously.

We scored super nose bleed, standing room only Bulls tickets for tomorrow's game.  I am going to bring the camera even though there will be no good shots from where we are standing because, really, you just never know.  Regardless, I'm so excited to go and be in that atmosphere and cheer on the home team!

That's about all that's going on with us....
