Oct. 15, 2005 - Kieran & I were married by my courtroom judge at my Wrigleyville apartment. Total secret to everyone outside our immediate family (selfishly so I can have my "dream wedding"... I tell my friends we got engaged. And we made up a total BS engagement story to go along with it -- ha!)
Oct. 21, 2006 - Kieran & I were married again at a Catholic church in Galesburg, my dream wedding come true.
Happy Anniversary Week to the Love of my Life!!
Last weekend was my annual "girls weekend" with 4 of my college girlfriends. We spent the morning at Bliss Spa, I got a facial and I thought, "hey, I'm 34, maybe I'll try some microdermabrasion with my facial..." Not the best idea -- apparently I have sensitive skin (I honestly didn't know) and I looked like I had rug burn all night after the facial. Makeup covered it a bit, but still.... After the spa, we shopped at Bloomies & Water Tower Place. For dinner, we had tapas at Cafe Babareeba. Super mad props to my husband who, yet again, displayed his awesomeness by letting 5 women invade our 3 bedroom condo and didn't complain once (and even drove us to the restaurant so we didn't have to take a cab)... I will post pics once Blogger allows me to do so.
This week, my crazy week, ended up not being as crazy as I originally thought it was going to be so I was able to RUN on the treadmill after work on Monday. I'm hopefully going to run again tonight and again tomorrow morning. Bittersweet -- I'm glad to be running, but wish I had a reason to not run (ie growing baby bump)....and I say "run" like I was actually running, lightning fast. Nope. I was plodding. Of the 3 miles I did on the treadmill, I probably walked half of that. I need to get back into shape for sure!
This weekend, I am hoping to celebrate our anniversary... nothing big, probably dinner. We are planning to get new living room furniture as our "gift" to each other. We have it almost picked out, we just need to figure out how the setup will be. Next weekend, Kieran's friend will be coming into town. The following weekend, I am running a 5K and we are heading to Galesburg afterwards. The weekend after, Kieran's sister and her boyfriend are coming over to stay for a week, so excited! ... so a busy few weeks (work will be crazy - I have jury trials scheduled every week) and weekends and I can't believe it'll be Thanksgiving. So excited to see the Hawkinson Gang this year for Turkey Day!
We are both doing well -- hanging in there. Got Daniel's chromosome report back and everything looked normal there, so that was good news. Thanks to everyone for checking up on us, we really do appreciate it!

Didn't you learn from Samantha on Sex in the City? I'm sure you were hot even with a rug burn on your face :) Can't wait to see you in little over a month! Day after Thanksgiving shopping....get ready! (Oh I just thought of that now...that makes me sooooo happy!)
I asked if I was going to turn out like Samantha and she was like, "oh no, that was from a chemical peel".... live & learn. :) I'll be up for shopping... coffee first, then shopping! :)
