So - we arrived in Dublin on Saturday, December 19 (leaving O'Hare on Friday night). The flight was good, uneventful, except we always manage to travel near the "baby" area of the plane. Initial horror was for nothing, because the babies were well behaved (thanks, Moms of the babies). We took the bus down from Dublin to Galway, which was a great trip because it was early Saturday morning and the bus was very empty. We didn't do much of anything for the first few days upon arriving at Kieran's parents' house. Relaxed, slept, ate tons of food....
We finished our Christmas shopping on Tuesday and Wednesday and shopped with Kieran's mom for the Christmas dinner on Wednesday afternoon. Total nightmare. Traffic, no place to park, the store was insane. I can't even describe how I was feeling in this store other than I was shaking with rage and I truly wanted to hit someone. I was fine once we got home. :) And FYI, Kieran felt the same way, so I wasn't being overly dramatic/sensitive... :)
Christmas eve, Eoin & his girlfriend, Helen, came over, as well as Ailish and her boyfriend Hugh. We hung out and on Christmas day, opened gifts and had a huge dinner. Then Hugh brought over his Wii and Eoin brought the Playstation 3 and we played games. I talked to my family on Skype, but UNFORTUNATELY couldn't see them on the camera. I was so looking forward to seeing everyone. I missed my fam this year, but thankfully, my other fam is awesome so it made it easier to be away. :) If everyone could be so lucky.
Tonight, we're going out for Indian food and the rest of the week is just chilling out until New Year's Eve, when Kieran and I will be going to Killarney with his friends.
So - pics below are pretty much bar pics and I haven't cleaned them up much (red eye, etc.) because I don't know how to use this computer very well. I will download more pics later on or in a couple days.
Sean, Declan, Mike & Kieran - they were all at our wedding in Galesburg...
