Here and gone and here and gone....

i'm really going to try to be better with keeping up with my blog. especially now that we have the new computer....i have a bit of a lazy streak, what can i say?

so the weekend after the marathon, we went for a girls weekend in new buffalo, MI....we all had drama (except for beth, i think...) - tari's father had just passed away over the summer, beck's mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, heather had just been hit (broadsided) by a car while she was driving with her 4 month old in the backseat a couple days prior (both are ok), and i learned earlier that afternoon that my grandpa died. needless to say, it was nice to get away and have cocktails and catch up for an overnight trip. we stayed at beth's mom's house and had a great time!

dinner - brewsters - it was great! yummy pasta, great drinks....

prior to dinner, we went to beth's sister's art gallery and had some appetizers and cocktails. we felt kinda posh.

we got back to chicago on sunday and then i turned around and took the amtrak to galesburg on monday. kieran met me there on tuesday night and we stayed until thursday. i then had my first book club experience on saturday night - we read the guernsey literary and potato peel pie society - it was an awesome book, i highly recommend it.

hard to believe, but the following weekend (halloween weekend) we stayed in (gasp, horror)...i swear i'm not pregnant. i had a 15k on sunday, plus we just didn't feel like going out. we're growing old! this weekend we're heading to galesburg for my cousin's fiancee's bridal shower (well, kieran and jason are going golfing while i head to the shower with mom and laura). ryan and noreen are getting married in italy the weekend of thanksgiving - if we weren't heading to ireland for the holidays, i think we would have tried to make it for that. sounds amazing!!
