1) My mama was visiting for a couple nights. She arrived Thursday and I just dropped her off at Union Station. She needed to get away - she's dealing with a lot of crap (read: douche-baggery) and I wanted to help her de-stress. I think I am a miracle worker, because she seemed well rested and relaxed when I left her off. We'll see her again next weekend.
2) My sister deleted her Facebook. This egregious action has left me feeling a bit empty and I don't think I'd feel this way as much if she still lived in the same state as me. Maybe I'm wrong. But I sure loved our conversations that started like this: "Oh.my.god, did you see ______'s Facebook page/picture/status update..." I feel a little lost. Sniffle.
3) Kieran is off golfing with his friends today. I haven't seen him in over 7 hours and I'm actually a tad lonely since that usually only happens on work days. Huh. I really love my husband. Even after all these almost 4 years..... :)
4) Champagne flights in the sun in the middle of the afternoon have the same effect as shotgunning a couple of Natty Lites. Only more expensive.
5) A woman at the wine bar wanted to bring her little dog into the bar and was so offended when the waitstaff said "no"....she proceeded to tell my mom and me, "I don't understand, she's just like a human...only a dog." I asked to see her Mensa membership card. While I couldn't actually see her eyes under her Nicole Ritchie-esque oversized shades, I can only assume I was greeted in return by a dull stare (...because her mouth was hanging open a bit and her tongue was sticking out much like her little dog/human, "Precious"). I then looked around for the Punk'd cameras.
6) The man at the Benefit counter in Ulta wanted to "prune" my eyebrows. I thought about it until I saw that his were penciled in.
7) Chain restaurant or not, Maggianos ranks right up there with Chick Fil A, in my opinion.
8) I wish I ran my 10 miles this morning, instead of putting it off until tomorrow. 5 am thunderstorm fake-out......
