I have been neglectful in my posts this week. I have no excuse, the running meter on the side of the blog is correctly showing "0" miles run so far this week. Work has been no crazier than usual. The house is still dirty. I didn't buy a *real* plant. And my iPhone and iPod are synched and ready to rock. I have just been lazy.
And the only reason I am writing this post this afternoon is because I am about to go all Timothy McVeigh in this office building and I need an outlet. Let me preface by saying that I work with wonderful people (total lie, there's only like a small handful of pretty decent people). However, sometimes when my co-workers congregate outside of my office (that I share with 2 other people, mind you...yes, I am an attorney who has to share an office...thankfully I like my roommates) and jibber jabber about things like their daughter's ballet class, who's on match.com, what happened on (insert a TV show I don't watch or could care less about here) last night, I literally feel an anxiety attack coming on and I want to create mass destruction (Homeland Security, I am not really planning it, please don't show up at my door tonight, cuffs in hand, offering me an extended stay at the soon-to-be-going out of business Gitmo). So I wonder: is it me? Am I really about three OMG did you see 24 last night, that Jack Bauer....'s away from a heart attack? Do I need to get daily massage therapy instead of weekly? Or am I just a jerk? (Rhetorical questions...at least that last one is...)
See, now typing this made me feel a bit better. That, and the confidential overhears I am blasting from my computer as a potential deterrent for chit-chat on my watch. I'd rather listen to drug dealing clients freely talk about all the "jabs of blow" they are willing to sell to the undercover officer who is secretly video and audio recording them than to listen to educated officemates talk about their lives. I know, I have problems.
I have some pics to post - My cousin, Misty, and her 2 kids, Jack and Spencer, are visiting for a couple weeks and I have some cute pics of Jack and Spencer. Jack is my little buddy! :) We have the same sense of humor, right, Misty? :) We like to laugh about butts.....

i LOVE the pic! you and kieran look so special. :)
Oh I needed that! I'm about to abuse my children (again...not really....just thoughts) and I am having serious anxiety attacks. Is it our age....I just need everyone to SHUT UP! Ben was gone again last night. I'm starting to get bitter. Your post was for me! Thank you!
Sar - has Jen taught you nothing? The best revenge is writing a great book about how annoying real life (or should I say people) truly can be on a daily basis. Then making a ton of money so you never have to see them again.
And this is exactly why I work at home in the "bubble". I have no tolerance for annoying people...
