Happy Anniversary.....and new baby!

I have been so busy since we've been back that I haven't had time to update the blog much...except post on my disaster of a run on Sunday.

So here's the scoop:
Yesterday, Kieran and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary. Yes, it's been 3 years! We went to Pasta Bowl (where we went for dinner after we got married in my old apartment in Wrigleyville) and then we drove by the old casa to reminisce. We didn't ring the bell and ask to go in or make out on the front porch or anything...just a little drive-by nostalgia. It was all sweet and good until we stumbled upon the CPD Forensic trucks parked about a mile down the road because a DEAD BODY was discovered in an Italian restaurant. Nothing caps off an evening of romance like a dead body, right? We didn't know it actually was a dead body for sure when we were creeping by, but in my line of work, I do know enough that CPD doesn't bust out the Forensic TANK for a drive-by or some gangbang beat down initiation...it was straight outta CSI and suddenly I had to get home and flip on the news and see what the heck was going on in my old, previously safe 'hood. Again, romantic...no? :)

And my cousin, Misty, had her baby! Spencer was born yesterday morning. I talked to my Aunt Denice and she said Misty was doing fine. I haven't actually talked to Misty yet or seen pics or anything. Hopefully I'll be able to share some soon! Congrats, Misty and Jeremy! And big brother, Jack! :)

We're off to the dirty south aka Galesburg this weekend for my mom's annual pumpkin carving family get-together.
