Dog Races and Dad's 52!

Last night, we had dinner at the dog track, bet on some greyhounds, and celebrated Dad's birthday. It was a really nice time. I lost on all the races, except the last one. I have a method: bet on the dog that has just taken a dump. Being a runner myself, I know how wonderful I feel after dumping before a run. It worked. Everyone who bet on the number 1 dog in the last race, won! Patricia won the most because she bet on him to win outright. I had him to win or place so my winnings were a little less. Either way, it's a free, useful tip for future dog race attendees.

Dad blowing out the candles....make a wish....probably to win on a couple of dogs!

We surprised Dad for his birthday...the restaurant brought him out a cake Kieran's brother dropped off earlier in the day and we sang "Happy Birthday"
Kieran's mom, Patricia, my mom and me -- after dinner, we went to a hotel bar and listened to live music.
