Spelman Scoop: Decatur Fun & Cubs Win

Last weekend, Kieran and I drove down to Decatur, IL to visit one of my best friends, Heather, and her hubby, Chad, and their son, Hudson. We went out for Mexican, had fun at the local watering holes, and SAW MATT DAMON!!!! Woo hoo - Matt Damon in central Illinois...He's filming a movie there about the ADM price-fixing scandal back in the 1990s and we saw him! (Actually, Kieran saw him, I didn't see him. I saw his wife, though)

Then, yesterday my brothers Jason and Ben came up for the Cubs game and then we had people over last night for dinner - it was a Galesburg reunion with Ani, Alberto, Angela, David, Marty, Jason, Ben, George, and Mayra. We got a new grill and Jason cooked burgers, chicken breasts, brats, and veggie skewers. He did an awesome job! I didn't take any pictures from the impromtu dinner but I took some at the Cubs game.

I was testing out the zoom lens on the camera. Kieran showed me that the camera can zoom alot further than I originally thought. This is Kerry Wood warming up all the way across from where we were seated. Awesome zoom lens. It will come in handy when I am mullet hunting or taking pictures at the Madonna concert this fall (hopefully!!)

Cubs win!!! and after the game, there was this random, drunk, possibly mentally ill guy walking around the bleachers eating all the leftover food off the ground. It was so gross. And sad.
