Belated Thanksgiving Blog

So finally some Thanksgiving pictures! Kieran and I headed home to Galesburg on Wednesday and traffic was actually not too bad. We started Thanksgiving at noon at my mom's house. She made turkey, ham, 3 kinds of potatoes (sweet, cheesy, and mashed w/gravy), green bean casserole, stuffing, cranberry sauce/jello, and 3 kinds of pie (pumpkin, berry, chocolate silk)...it was all so YUMMY! My step-dad is carving up the ham in the picture below. After lunch, we went outside and shot Jason with a paintball gun. Oh, the things you do for fun in Galesburg! :)

At 5 pm, we headed to my dad and step-mom's house for.....lasagna. At first, when I heard it was going to be lasagna, I was like "huh?" but then a) it was REALLY good and b) it was a nice change from more turkey/ham. So it ended up being the perfect Thanksgiving day!

Friday, Nicole and I went shopping for the "Black Friday" deals....she had already been to Wal-Mart before she came to get me at 6 am! We had a blast and when she dropped me off just before 11 am, I felt like it was mid-afternoon and was hoping for a nap. Nope. Jason, Ben, Kieran and I headed to Peoria so the boys could shop (...and can anyone believe that I did not buy a thing for myself either time??)
Kieran and I anxiously awaiting the Thanksgiving feast at my mom's house....
Kaela licking the last bit of pie from her plate. Notice her Thanksgiving stains on her shirt! She's not even 2 and she knows how to do it on Thanksgiving!!
Laura and Kaela on Turkey Day!
Jonah and daddy Ben on Thanksgiving Day. He's just cracking up and I forget why? But he's too cute! Annelise was not feeling too well that day so I didn't get a picture of her. I have one of Alaina defying bedtime rules (hiding at the top of the stairs) but it's not on here because you can't see too much of her - she saw Kieran had the camera! :)
Jonah sitting up like a big boy....he actually rolled over while Nicole and I were checking out the sale ads for "Black Friday".....we didn't see it (hello - Target had some major sales!) but we noticed when he was closer to Nicole on the floor and totally turned over. It was funny!
My dad's birthday was on Thanksgiving (Nov. 22) and my little brother, Ben's birthday was on the 26th .. we celebrated Ben's birthday on Saturday night with pizza, cake and ice cream (like we needed more food)! he's 20...almost legal....
