This past weekend, we headed back down to Dixon for Jonah's baptism. It was right after mass at the church they attend and where Annelise goes to school. It was a beautiful day and so fun to get together with family. My parents came, Nicole's parents came, Ben's parents came, as well as Ben's brother and sister-in-law and their kids.
The priest was a very nice man and he let Jonah's sisters and cousins be a part of the baptism ceremony. While he was blessing the water, he asked them to help bless the water, too. They were very agreeable to help out.
Jonah was asleep for almost the whole thing. But he did wake up when they put the water on his head. But he didn't cry -- he was just so amazed and enchanted by the priest's voice. He just looked and sometimes smiled.

Kieran and I are Jonah's godparents and we are very honored that Nicole and Ben asked us!
Jonah - out of his church whites and into his boy clothes.
I know Nicole (and Bonnie, and pretty much everyone...) is ready for Kieran and me to have one, but for now, we are happy being Uncle Kieran and Aunt Sarah. :)
