Greetings from Ireland!

We made it safe to Ireland on Friday morning, July 27. We have adjusted to the time change quite well (6 hours ahead) and have been hanging out with Kieran's family and enjoying the weather (the sun shines in Ireland -- I got a tan today!)

Sadly, I have no pictures to post, and I may only have a couple when we get back. My purse was stolen last night at the Quays bar, from right under our noses. My wallet (yes, the one that was stolen and subsequently returned a couple days later), my digital camera, my money, my Chanel lip gloss (that they don't make anymore!) and various other things were among the casualties. Very sad. I had a meltdown. I mean, how often does this happen to someone twice in a month? Oh well. I apparently don't have the luck of the Irish.

Tomorrow, I am going to do my long run at the college health club and then we are heading down to the horse races. Maybe my luck will change. Or maybe Kieran will have good luck for both of us! Either way, our trip is going to be fabulous regardless of the purse mishap. Luckily, my passport is safe and am able to return without a detour to the American Embassy in Dublin.
