This past weekend, May 19th, we all got together to celebrate the engagement of Helmut Kopke and Tanya Blackburn. Helmut is my friend from U of I and he was an usher in our wedding. He's a great friend and so much fun to be around. Helmut met Tanya here in Chicago a few years ago. She's a nurse at Children's Memorial and an absolute angel to be able to deal with Helmut's quirkiness! :) We had dinner beforehand at Mi Tierra and the party itself was at BB's in Chicago. BB's is a bar that is owned by the same people who own Stanley's (the bar I work at in Lincoln Park) -- they were awesome to us!
